Teddy Bear Alarm Clock

Clock Radio with Cuddly Bear for Snoozing

2004

With Didier Hilhorst for Interaction Ivrea · Intentionally mysterious, the alarm clock radio (named 'Quattro') is housed in a semi-translucent enclosure devoid of any markings to hint at its function. It is controlled entirely by an illuminated touch sensitive interface. In stark contrast with the minimalistic styling of the alarm clock radio, a cuddly plush bear is provided for snoozing as well as tuning the radio.

Despite being an unlikely pairing from an aesthetic point of view, these two objects (a teddy bear and an alarm clock radio) are often situated in the same context. Upon discovering that hugging the teddy bear causes the alarm clock to snooze, this strange pair becomes immediately familiar.
