This project involved the development of navigational components for the Scion corporate website. A marque of the Toyota Motor Company, Scion makes automobiles that appeal to young car buyers. As a result of this market, the Scion website requires a unique feel. These website navigation components were designed to be responsive to the user's actions. They hide and reveal active regions according to the user's location within the site and the user's mouse coordinates on the currently viewed page.

Contracted by the Chicago office of Semaphore Partners Inc., the development team consisted of several designers and programmers located throughout the United States. Specified Requirements included Macromedia Flash 5 compatibility and the ability for the navigation components to be flexible enough to adapt to structural changes of the site. For these reasons, XML formatted configuration files were chosen so anchor references could be quickly modified.
